Our interdisciplinary research team at the University Hospital Magdeburg is developing, in collaboration with local companies, intelligent insoles for patients with diabetes that measure pressure and temperature changes in real time, thereby enabling early warnings of potential health complications. This innovative technology significantly improves the quality of life of our patients and supports the prevention of severe secondary diseases. Your responsibilities:

  • Development and optimization of smartphone applications, in particular innovative video games, including interface integration with the study server (IQ-Trial)
  • Analysis and visualization of game data, including implementation of AI algorithms
  • Writing scientific publications based on research results
  • Archiving research data and providing technical support for clinical studies
  • Optimization of study materials (eg sensors, electronics, etc.)

Your profile:

  • Independent and structured working style as well as interest in innovative technologies in the healthcare sector
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field
  • Solid programming skills in Java and C#
  • Knowledge of machine learning methods
  • Experience in data analysis (R, Python or SPSS)
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including in interdisciplinary teams

Salary:

You can expect a competitive salary depending on assigned responsibilities and fulfillment of personal requirements, up to pay grade E13 in accordance with the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L).

Position:

The position is available immediately, part-time (20 hours/week), and limited until December 31, 2027.
