Your tasks
- You are responsible for the overall technical architecture and vision for three central product and platform teams in retail banking – and thus for how data-driven, personalized and automated we are in guiding our customers along key banking journeys.
- You will take on technical responsibility for our AI-based document recognition (DocAI) and drive the productive use of OCR, AI and ML solutions – from stable backend architecture to scalable integration into operational processes.
- You will be responsible for the technical development of our CRM system, which we use to personalize customer interactions, perform analytical selections, and manage all email marketing campaigns – with a focus on scalability, data quality, performance, and compliance.
- You will support the Data & Analytics team with responsibility for reporting, advanced analytics and machine learning models (e.g. Customer Lifetime Value).
- At a technical level, you lead three cross-functional teams with around 30 employees: clear target architectures, clean interfaces, meaningful engineering standards (CI/CD, testing, observability), active tech debt management and sustainable delivery speed.
- You make data-driven architecture and technology decisions and work consistently in an outcome-oriented manner: measurable product value, stable platforms and scalable solutions take precedence over purely technical elegance.
- You manage dependencies, risks, and transparency across teams and stakeholders – from platform and architecture decisions to security and compliance issues, and critical delivery paths.
Your profile
- You have a completed degree in (business) informatics, mathematics, physics or a comparable qualification.
- You bring experience from corporations, FinTechs, consultancies or tech companies.
- You have in-depth knowledge of modern technologies in the data and AI field (e.g., Python, OpenAI SDK) combined with practical AWS know-how (e.g., Redshift, SageMaker, Glue).
- You have experience with modular, scalable data architectures and can efficiently integrate use cases into existing platform structures.
- You bring experience in solving complex technical challenges, scaling data platforms, and optimizing development processes.
- You can explain technical matters clearly, convincingly represent strategic decisions, and communicate confidently with management, specialist departments, and development teams.
- You have demonstrable experience leading multiple cross-functional teams – including in lateral leadership systems: creating alignment, making decisions, and resolving conflicts.
