Head of Department for Digital Control, Data and AI (m/f/d)
Location: Korbach | Remote | Working hours: Full-time

In this strategically important leadership role, you will be responsible for the further development of our data, analytics, and AI landscape and create the conditions for data-driven decisions throughout the company.

Together with your team, you will develop modern data platforms, establish effective governance structures, and actively drive digital transformation. You will combine technological expertise with leadership skills and strategic thinking.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Professional and disciplinary management of the department
  • Development and implementation of a future-oriented data, analytics and AI strategy
  • Managing the entire lifecycle of data platforms, data products, and AI solutions.
  • Together with your team, build and continuously develop modern data and analytics platforms.
  • Responsibility for data quality, data classification, and data release and governance processes
  • Introduction and further development of standards in the field of business intelligence, reporting and KPI management
  • Initiate, prioritize, and successfully implement strategic data, analytics, and AI projects.
  • Advising specialist departments on the identification and implementation of data-driven use cases
  • Design and control automation, workflow and integration solutions in the data environment
  • Establishment and further development of a structured Project Management Office (PMO) within the area of ​​responsibility
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection, security and compliance requirements.
  • Collaboration with specialist departments, IT, data protection, information security and external partners
  • Continuously monitor and further develop the economic efficiency, stability, and value contribution of the data platforms and AI solutions.
  • To provide management-oriented reports, analyses and decision-making tools for corporate management.

Your profile:

  • Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, data science or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional and management experience in the field of data management, business intelligence, analytics or artificial intelligence
  • Solid expertise in modern data architectures, data platforms and cloud technologies
  • Experience in building and operating data warehouse, reporting and analytics solutions
  • Knowledge in the areas of data protection, information security, data governance and AI governance
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and experience in managing complex transformation and digitalization projects
  • Strong communication and consulting skills, as well as a passion for inspiring people to embrace change.
  • A structured, solution-oriented approach to work and a keen sense of priorities.
