Junior Cyber ​​Security Engineer (m/f/d) – Embedded Systems & Product Security

With the increasing connectivity of our devices, cybersecurity and regulatory requirements are becoming ever more important. Therefore, we are looking for a Cyber ​​Security Engineer (m/f/d) to support our development departments in the secure design of our products and to be responsible for implementing current security requirements.

Your job description:

  • Contributing to the development and enhancement of cybersecurity structures for products and development processes
  • Specifying security requirements at the system and software level
  • Support for embedded software and system development in secure software and system architectures
  • Support in implementing a Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) for embedded systems
  • Contributing to threat modeling, risk analyses, and security reviews
  • Assistance with the implementation of regulatory requirements, in particular the EU Cyber ​​Resilience Act
  • Support in assessing vulnerabilities in software components and open-source libraries
  • Creation and maintenance of security-relevant documentation, e.g. risk analyses, security concepts or SBOMs.
  • Support with security tests such as code reviews or vulnerability analyses
  • Collaboration with development, quality management and external partners
  • Supporting development teams in the areas of secure coding and product safety

Your profile:

  • Completed studies in computer science, IT security, electrical engineering or comparable qualification
  • Initial practical experience in software development, IT security, or embedded systems
  • Basic knowledge of embedded Linux, networking, or software security
  • Interest in cybersecurity, regulatory requirements, and secure development processes
  • Prior experience with tools such as Git, Docker, or CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
  • Prior experience with topics such as cryptography, secure communication, firmware updates, or secure boot is desirable.
  • Structured and analytical work style, as well as enjoyment of collaborating with different departments and teams.
  • Excellent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
