(Senior) Data Scientist / AI Expert (m/f/d)

This is what you can expect

• As a Data Scientist / AI Engineer (m/f/d), you will develop and implement innovative AI solutions in strategically important, company-wide AI projects to support key business processes – from the initial concept and prototype to productive application.
• Working closely with lawyers, specialists, legal engineers, IT teams, data analytics experts, and international ARAG branches, you will analyze requirements and translate them into viable, scalable, and economically sound AI solutions.
• You will design, develop and integrate modern AI applications based on Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI and other innovative AI technologies.
• You will continuously develop the technical architecture of our AI products – from data connections and knowledge databases to AI orchestration, interfaces, and production-ready services.
• You will work in interdisciplinary and international project teams and play a central role in coordinating between specialist departments and technical implementation to efficiently translate business requirements into productive AI solutions.
• You identify automation and optimization potential and develop AI solutions with measurable added value for our customers, employees and ARAG's international companies.

This is what you bring with you

• You have successfully completed a degree in (business) informatics, economics, mathematics, natural sciences or a comparable field.
• You possess strong analytical and conceptual skills and are able to structure complex technical requirements and translate them into viable technical solutions.
• You possess excellent programming skills, particularly in Python, and have experience developing professional software and AI solutions. Ideally, you also have experience with modern AI technologies and frameworks such as Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG, Agentic AI, Azure, or API-based architectures.
• You have already gained practical experience in the field of AI, machine learning, generative AI or data-driven applications and are interested in using modern AI technologies productively.
• You have excellent communication and presentation skills and enjoy working with different stakeholders.
• You enjoy working in interdisciplinary and international teams and impress with your independent, structured and solution-oriented work style.
• Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken (at least C1 level), complete your profile.

Salary: €65,000.00 - €70,000.00 per year
