Our “Planning, Allocation and Capacity Management” team is responsible for central sales and production planning applications at Mercedes-Benz and actively shapes the transformation towards integrated, data-driven corporate management.
We work in cross-functional, agile product teams, closely integrated with business, IT, and international partners. Our goal: to develop an integrated optimization model that intelligently combines sales and production planning and enables end-to-end decisions.
Your role
As a Business Transformation Architect (Agentic-AI & Simulation), you will design the overarching transformation towards an AI-driven organization – both at the development and application levels.
They define the strategic direction for the use of AI in the program, develop the necessary organizational and methodological frameworks, and, together with stakeholders, ART delivery teams, and external partners, lead the implementation of the strategy.

Your tasks
AI Strategy & Transformation
Definition and further development of a comprehensive AI strategy for agentic AI and simulation in the program context
Derivation of clear target images for the use of AI in development, planning and decision-making processes.
Ensuring alignment between business goals, technology roadmaps, and operational implementation
Organisational & Methodical Framework
Building and establishing a scalable organizational framework for the use of AI
Development of methodological guidelines (e.g., governance, operating models, best practices) for agent-based solutions
Defining clear roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes in the AI context
Transformation Enablement & Delivery Integration
Defining concrete transformation steps together with ART delivery teams and external partners
Supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives into operational product development
Ensuring a consistent and scalable integration of AI into existing processes and systems
Stakeholder Alignment & Change Management
Close collaboration with top management, specialist departments, IT and external partners to ensure the secure implementation of the transformation.
Moderation of decision-making processes and building a shared understanding of AI-driven changes
Promoting acceptance and enablement of the organization in dealing with AI and simulation
Governance, Scaling & Impact
Establishing governance structures for the responsible use of AI
Ensuring scalability, sustainability, and measurable business impact of the transformation
Monitoring and continuous development of the transformation initiatives
Ideally, you should bring the following:
Completed studies in the field of economics, computer science, engineering or comparable
Several years of experience in transformation, strategy development, or building data- and AI-driven organizations
Strategic & Methodological Expertise
Proven experience in defining and implementing transformation strategies
A sound understanding of organizational design, operating models, and governance structures.
Experience in building scalable frameworks for complex programs
Practical work experience (e.g., concrete use cases or project results in the AI/simulation environment) is advantageous.
AI & Technology Understanding
A good understanding of modern AI technologies, especially in the context of agentic AI, simulation, and data-driven applications.
Ability to translate technological concepts into actionable strategic and organizational approaches
Experience at the interface between business, IT and data/AI is an advantage.
Working methods & mindset
Strategic thinking paired with a strong focus on implementation
Experience in agile transformation environments (e.g., SAFe, large programs/ART structures)
Excellent communication and moderation skills at all hierarchical levels
Languages
Fluent German and English skills
