BI Data Scientist (m/f/d)
That is your task

As a BI Data Scientist (m/f/d), you will shape the development of Commercial Data Science as a reliable and scalable basis for decision-making in Sales, Purchasing and Commercial, and develop advanced data models, supplier value analytics and scenario simulations for this purpose.

Here you will especially

  • Develop strategic commercial models to identify value drivers and support data-driven decisions in sales, purchasing, and commercial operations.
  • Providing advanced supplier and purchasing analytics, including supplier value models beyond the purchase price, margin contribution, and growth potential.
  • Working in collaboration with controllers, translate complex analyses into clear management recommendations, including options, assumptions, sensitivities, risks, and financial impacts.
  • Develop commercial planning and scenario simulations to assess the impact on sales, margin, and EBIT.
This is what you bring with you
  • Completed studies in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Industrial Engineering or a comparable quantitative field
  • Several years of professional experience in data science, advanced analytics, commercial analytics, BI/controlling analytics or data-driven consulting, ideally with a strategic focus.
  • Experience in developing data-driven decision-making tools for sales, commercial or purchasing, e.g., regarding pricing, product range, margin management, supplier value or growth levers.
  • A good understanding of modern data platforms and analytical modeling, combined with the ability to translate technical solutions into scalable business applications.
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding, ideally from retail, travel retail, FMCG or a similarly dynamic trading environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for translating complex analyses into a way that is appropriate for the target audience.
    Fluent German and English skills.
