For our Data, Security and Identity (DSI) business unit within the Analytics (ANA) tribe, we are looking for a Data Engineer (m/f/d) for full-time or part-time employment (minimum 30 hours per week ) in Münster or Karlsruhe. Here you will work with colleagues across locations and with diverse, sometimes English-speaking, interfaces.

Your tasks with perspectives

  • You will accompany and shape the future-oriented transformation of our current Big Data Analytics world towards the rapidly growing AI and cloud technology environment (IT target image, Data Integration Hub).
  • You are responsible for data modeling and for the design and implementation of data integration processes (ETL) for our business analytics solutions as well as for machine learning models.
  • You are part of a highly motivated and agile team and will take on development activities ranging from requirements analysis to development and test automation, as well as maintenance and support of new Big Data solutions and products.
  • You work in a cross-functional work environment/team and enjoy contributing to the design of software architectures and the selection of technologies.

Your personality with profile

  • You have a completed degree in (applied) computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification as well as several years of relevant professional experience.
  • You have strong programming skills in Python (programming logic, problem-solving approach, concept development, flowcharts, tests) as well as good database knowledge (relational databases, SQL).
  • Ideally, you are familiar with big data processing tools such as Spark and Kafka. Knowledge of data lake technologies like Delta or S3 is also a plus.
  • You can deploy and, if necessary, make changes to existing deployments, or you are willing to learn these skills in the Openshift environment.
  • You have fluent German skills (at least C1 level) and good English skills (B2 level).
  • Logical and analytical thinking skills combined with an independent and team-oriented work style, as well as a sense of responsibility and quality awareness, complete your profile.

Salary range and career level:
The annual salary for this position, based on a 38-hour week, ranges between €70,000 and €100,000, depending on relevant experience and qualifications, and fits into our career model as follows:
