As a Data Scientist (m/f/d), you will be the first dedicated data science role in our team. A data community with our sister company will be available to you for sparring.

What are your responsibilities with us?
- Machine Learning in the Loan Process:
You develop machine learning models that directly support concrete decisions in the installment loan business. To do this, you use modern methods from data science, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI). - AI features in the product (Nice to have)
Ideally, you will support the development of initial AI features and LLM-based applications that will be integrated into our digital installment loan processes. - Collaboration with data and product teams:
You will work closely with Data Engineering, Product Management and Data Analytics, utilizing our existing database to develop scalable ML solutions. - End-to-end responsibility:
You accompany machine learning models from the idea through development, evaluation and deployment to production readiness and continuous optimization. - Further development of our AI capabilities.
You will contribute new approaches from machine learning and artificial intelligence and support the further development of our data-driven products and use cases.
What do we expect from you?
- Production ML experience:
You have several years of experience in developing and operating machine learning models for production systems. Ideally, you also have experience with MLOps. - Confident ML stack:
You work confidently with Python and common machine learning frameworks and are proficient in training, evaluation and further development of models in a production environment. - Working in real product environments:
You understand the challenges of productive systems and can bring together technical, professional, and data-related requirements. - Translating Business into ML:
You can translate complex business processes into meaningful machine learning applications, models, and features. - First experience with LLMs
Ideally, you have initial practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI or their integration into applications and would like to expand this knowledge further. - Structure & Ownership
You work independently, prioritize clearly and reliably advance data science and ML topics to productive use. - Data responsibility in a regulated environment.
You have an awareness of data protection and the handling of sensitive data, ideally in a FinTech, banking or regulated environment. - Language skills:
You have German language skills at least at C1 level, both spoken and written.
