At our headquarters in Velbert, we are looking for a

BI Specialist (m/f/d)

Your future tasks:

  • Conceptualization, development and maintenance of BI dashboards and reports (e.g. Power BI)
  • Design and optimization of data models and ETL/data pipelines from various source systems
  • Use of AI/ML methods for data analysis, pattern recognition, forecasting and automation (e.g. Copilot, Azure AI, machine learning models)
  • Automation of recurring reporting and data processes (e.g., with Power Automate)
  • Advising departments on key performance indicators, data availability and visualization options
  • Ensuring data quality, consistency and governance
  • Documentation of data models, processes and definitions (Data Dictionary)
  • Evaluation of new BI and AI tools as well as participation in shaping the BI strategy

You bring the following with you:

  • Completed studies in (business) informatics, data science, statistics or comparable qualification
  • Excellent knowledge of Power BI or comparable BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik)
  • Experience with SQL and data modeling
  • Practical experience with AI/ML applications in a BI context, e.g., predictive analytics, NLP, or generative AI/copilot integration.
  • Knowledge of Power Automate, SharePoint, or other Microsoft 365 automation tools is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabrics and Python for data analysis is desirable.
