BI Data Engineer (m/f/d)

Hello, your responsibility:

As a BI Data Engineer (m/f/d), you bridge the gap between IT, controlling, and the business. You are responsible for building, developing, and operating the integrated BI and reporting landscape based on SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) with Cloud Integration (CI), with the clear goal of creating a scalable, automated data architecture that stakeholders can use to make business decisions. Specifically, this includes:

• Responsibility for the technical design and implementation of the BI architecture based on SAP S/4HANA, SAC and BTP/CI
• Development and optimization of CDS views, calculation views, and SAC data models.
• Development and maintenance of data integrations between S/4HANA, BTP, external platforms (e.g., e-commerce, EDI systems) and the SAC
• Design and implementation of dashboards, reports and KPIs for controlling, sales, supply chain, quality management and finance.
• Close collaboration with the Director of IT & Digitalization and the Controlling department to define KPIs and data models.
• Ensuring data governance, data quality and process automation in close coordination with the Master Data Governance Team
• Support in setting up self-service reporting and user training
• Contributing to the further development of the BI strategy in the context of digital transformation

Hello, your potential :

• Successfully completed studies in (business) informatics, data science or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the SAP environment, ideally with a focus on S/4HANA, SAC, BTP or Data Integration
• Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (Story Design, Data Models, Planning) and Embedded Analytics
• Experience in data modeling (CDS, SQL, HANA Calculation Views) and data integration (BTP/CI, APIs, EDI)
• Strong ability to present complex data in an understandable way
• Understanding of business processes in sales, controlling, SCM and finance
• Analytical thinking skills, strong communication skills and a high degree of personal responsibility
• German and English skills, both spoken and written
