(SENIOR) AGENTIC AI ENGINEER (M/F/D)

Tasks

As an AI Engineer , you will play a key role in the development and implementation of innovative AI solutions. You will combine in-depth technical knowledge with consulting expertise and guide demanding projects from conception to productive implementation. You will work on modern AI platforms and agent-based systems for leading companies, bringing innovative technologies into productive enterprise environments .

• Design modern AI and GenAI architectures that create real added value – from RAG pipelines to the integration and orchestration of Large Language Models, AI agent systems, and NLP and computer vision applications.
• Advise our clients on developing their AI and GenAI strategies , provide recommendations on best practices, and support the implementation of MLOps/LLMOps and AI governance structures.
• Develop scalable and secure AI applications by working closely with cloud and DevOps teams and using modern technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms.
• Analyze existing systems and develop them further so that AI and GenAI applications meet the highest requirements for security, governance, performance, and scalability.
• Contribute your knowledge of semantic technologies by developing ontologies, knowledge graphs, and structured data models that improve RAG and GenAI applications.

Qualifications

• A successfully completed degree in (business) informatics, mathematics, physics, or a comparable field.
• Extensive experience in machine learning and generative AI – especially with large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), LLM orchestration and AI agents , as well as classical methods such as NLP or computer vision.
• Proficient use of programming languages ​​such as Python (ideally also Scala or Java) as well as modern ML and DL frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or Keras
• Experience with agentic AI systems and modern LLM application architectures , e.g., multi-agent systems, tool integration and RAG orchestration, as well as their secure and scalable operation, taking into account AI governance, security, authentication and compliance requirements.
• Experience in cloud environments (AWS or Azure) and in the use of container and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Practical experience in MLOps / LLMOps and DevOps : CI/CD for AI systems, evaluation, monitoring and scaling of ML and LLM-based applications (e.g. with MLflow, Kubeflow, Seldon or similar tools).
• Ideally, additional know-how in semantic technologies such as knowledge graphs, ontologies and graph databases (e.g. Neo4j) for structuring and enriching GenAI and RAG systems .
• Experience in the design and implementation of AI/GenAI solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills when dealing with customers and stakeholders – both in German and in English.
