(JUNIOR) AI PLATFORM ENGINEER (M/W/D)

Tasks

• Together with experienced colleagues, you will develop the architecture and implementation of modern AI and data-driven platforms in the cloud – with the goal of providing scalable solutions for machine learning and GenAI applications.
• Automate infrastructure deployment with tools like Terraform or Ansible and create the foundation for the reliable operation of AI workloads, training pipelines, and inference-related systems .
• Dive into the development and optimization of CI/CD and MLOps pipelines to efficiently train, version, and deploy production-ready models.
• Support in monitoring the performance of AI systems and distributed data platforms , detecting anomalies early using intelligent monitoring approaches, and initiating automated countermeasures.
• Actively contribute to the team, exchange ideas and shape the further development of our platforms – especially through prototyping AI applications, experimenting with new models and using innovative technologies .
• Help us further develop our DevOps and MLOps culture, for example through code reviews, building best practices, and integrating Responsible AI and governance aspects into our processes.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in computer science, engineering or another field of study with a strong quantitative background
• Good programming skills (e.g. Python, Java or Go), initial experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and a basic understanding of cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, Serverless)
• Experience or strong interest in Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and in building scalable cloud infrastructures for AI and data-intensive workloads.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) as well as a basic understanding of CI/CD, DevOps and MLOps principles in the context of cloud-based AI/ML systems.
• Analytical, structured approach and motivation to continuously optimize cloud and platform solutions and to evaluate new technologies in the AI ​​environment.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly explain cloud and AI architectures and to work with clients to design scalable, future-proof solutions.
• Excellent German and good English skills, as well as willingness to travel for client projects.
