Your mission

As an Innovation Engineer, you drive the next generation of our security awareness and human risk products. Your core mission is to identify the innovations that matter next and then validate them, quickly and with substance. Sometimes that means building a prototype, sometimes it means running a structured experiment with a customer. You work closely with our innovation team and directly with customers.

How your day-to-day will look like:

• Identify innovations: You keep an eye on the cyber market, what competitors are doing, and what customers are asking for, then derive in a well-founded way which innovation we should build next and how we position ourselves.

• Validate innovations: You test whether an idea actually holds up. Often this means rapidly building a working prototype, but always it means delivering real insights: does it work, what does it cost, is it worth pursuing?

• Run innovation projects with customers: You bring innovations directly to our enterprise customers, run joint projects, and become a close, trusted point of contact. You translate customer needs into concrete, testable solutions.

Is it you we are looking for?

You...

• Have a background in IT security and a solid understanding of the modern threat landscape, especially social engineering.

• Can build prototypes independently and fast (rapid prototyping / vibe-coding) when validation calls for it.
• Are a careful, in-depth operator: you're not satisfied with something that merely works, you deliver solid insights.
• Are a confident communicator who is convincing in front of enterprise customers and comfortable owning a project end to end.
• Are AI-native: AI tools are an essential part of your daily workflow to maximize speed and productivity.

• Are a fluent communicator: you speak fluent English (German is a plus), enabling seamless communication within our international team and with our clients.

About us

revel8 is building the next generation of cybersecurity awareness for the age of GenAI. We help organizations protect themselves against modern social engineering attacks by turning their employees into an active line of defense.

It's been a fast ride so far: Founded in August 2024 by Tom and Julius, we moved to the Merantix Campus in Berlin and welcomed Robert as our CTO and co-founder shortly after. We landed our first enterprise customer in March 2025, raised our €5.1M seed round in September 2025, and moved the whole team back to Munich in February 2026. Today, we are around 40 revels working side by side in our new office every day.
