We are looking for a working student (m/f/d) in Cyber Security to join our Cyber Security Team at our Cologne location as soon as possible .

Your tasks:
- Technology entry & skill development: You will systematically familiarize yourself with modern SIEM and SOAR platforms and be gradually introduced to more complex tasks in operational security. In doing so, you will continuously acquire in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, such as logs, alerts, and typical attack patterns, and continuously develop your professional and technical skills.
- Security Monitoring & Alert Handling: You will actively support the monitoring of security and network events, review incoming security alerts, and conduct an initial assessment based on defined criteria. In doing so, you will develop an understanding of security-relevant relationships and learn to identify potential risks early on.
- Incident Escalation & Operational Support: You will forward conspicuous or critical events to the responsible security analysts in a structured and transparent manner. At the same time, you will contribute to standardized processes and recurring operational tasks within the team, thereby contributing to the stability and efficiency of security operations.
- Ticket Management, Documentation & Process Optimization: You will process and maintain tickets according to predefined processes and support the creation and updating of documentation, checklists, and work instructions. Furthermore, you will actively contribute to the optimization of existing security processes and regularly participate in training sessions and professional exchange within the team.
Your profile:
- Education & Experience: You are currently enrolled in a degree program such as Computer Science, IT Security, Cyber Security, or a comparable technical field and possess a solid understanding of IT systems, networks, and fundamental security concepts. Ideally, you have already gained initial practical experience in the field of cyber security, e.g., through internships, working student positions, or your own projects, and have thus developed an initial understanding of security-related issues.
- Interest & Motivation: You have a strong interest in IT and cybersecurity topics and follow current developments in this field with curiosity. You are characterized by a high willingness to learn and have the ambition to continuously expand your knowledge and develop both professionally and personally.
- Work style: You work independently, in a structured manner, and with a strong service orientation. You approach new challenges with curiosity, commitment, and a proactive attitude. You are able to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics, maintain an overview even with complex tasks, and work reliably in a team.
- Languages & Driving Licence: You have excellent written and spoken German and English skills and can communicate confidently in a technical context. A Class B driving licence completes your profile and offers you additional flexibility.
