Important note regarding the general conditions

This position is based in Germany and requires regular attendance at our German locations as well as the travel activity mentioned in the job description.

This position requires a valid work permit for employment in Germany. We cannot offer visa or relocation assistance for this position.

Excellent German language skills, both spoken and written (at least C1 level), are essential due to the close collaboration with our German-speaking departments and locations.

As a Data & Power BI Specialist (m/f/d), you will be the central point of contact for all our data, reporting, and BI topics. You will combine technical expertise with a strong understanding of our business processes and further develop our group-wide data landscape in collaboration with the specialist departments.

• You bring together data from different systems such as HR Works, DATEV, CRM, ES Office and other applications, and ensure that this creates a reliable basis for our group-wide reporting.
• With Power BI, you design and optimize dashboards, reports and management analyses, and ensure that key figures are understandable, meaningful and presented in a way that is relevant to different user groups.
• You are the central point of contact for the use of AI applications to optimize our business processes. Together with the specialist departments, you identify meaningful use cases, evaluate suitable solutions, and support their implementation and further development. This is not about AI for AI's sake, but about solutions that create tangible added value in everyday work.
• You will continuously develop our data models, interfaces, and architectures, keeping data quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability in mind. You will regularly review existing solutions and further develop them where our growth creates new requirements.
• Using SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate and other Microsoft technologies, you will develop data integrations and automate recurring reporting and business processes.
• Together with Finance, Controlling, Sales and other departments, you translate technical requirements into suitable data and BI solutions and help to define and further develop relevant KPIs and key figures in a uniform manner.
• From the initial idea through conception and technical implementation to introduction and further development, you will take responsibility for Power BI, reporting and data projects.
• You ensure transparent documentation, uniform reporting standards and high data quality, and continuously develop our governance and best practices in the Power BI environment.

• Several years of professional experience in the field of Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, data analysis or in a comparable position, as well as a completed degree, for example in business informatics, computer science, data analytics, business administration with a focus on IT or a comparable qualification.
• Excellent knowledge of Power BI and SQL, as well as practical experience with data modeling, relational databases, and the development of ETL/ELT processes and data integrations.
• You are comfortable working with Microsoft data and ideally have already worked with Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, and other Microsoft technologies. You should also be familiar with performance optimization and building scalable BI solutions.
• A good understanding of business relationships and key figures will help you to understand the requirements of our specialist departments and to develop meaningful data and BI solutions. Ideally, you will have experience in finance, controlling, sales or a comparable operational environment.
• You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner, question existing processes and enjoy not only managing things, but also developing and improving them.
• You can explain complex technical concepts clearly and enjoy working with different departments and stakeholders. You handle sensitive company data responsibly.
• You enjoy working closely with specialist departments and want to understand business processes from more than just a technical perspective. While a large part of your work can be done remotely, you are willing to be on-site at our locations regularly. This requires a moderate amount of travel, typically about every two months for up to one week.
• Excellent German skills, both spoken and written (at least C1 level), complete your profile.

You don't need to be an expert in every single technology. What's crucial for us is that you genuinely want to understand data and its interrelationships, can delve deeply into the technical aspects, and are eager to actively shape our data landscape.
