Your tasks
You will shape the further development of our central data platform based on Microsoft Fabric, thus being responsible for a key component for data-driven decisions within the company. Your work combines data engineering, analytics, and reporting into an integrated solution, creating the foundation for reliable, data-based decisions. You will be part of a team of two other developers and benefit from close professional exchange and development opportunities.
Your tasks in detail
- Building, developing and operating scalable data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric to provide reliable data for analytics and reporting.
- Responsibility for the further development of our Lakehouse architecture based on established layering and data modeling concepts
- Integration and connection of various external and internal data sources based on Microsoft Fabric and cloud-based data architectures, with a special focus on ERP systems (especially Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central)
- Development of high-performance data models and transformation logics using Python, Spark technologies, and dbt for cleansing, harmonizing, historizing, and structuring business-relevant data.
- Working with modern development processes based on Git, code reviews and CI/CD
- Ensuring and further developing data quality as well as contributing to data governance standards across the entire data environment
- Conception and implementation of user-centered dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI
- Close collaboration with specialist departments to define KPIs, requirements and implement data-driven use cases.
Your profile
- Completed studies in business informatics, data science or comparable qualification
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of data analytics, data engineering or business intelligence
- Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric in the context of modern Lakehouse architectures
- Excellent SQL skills as well as experience in data processing and analysis with Python and modern technologies for scalable data processing.
- Experience in data modeling, data quality and modern development processes (e.g. Git, dbt or similar approaches)
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Power BI, especially in dashboard design and data visualization.
- Experience with ERP systems (especially Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex content in an understandable way.
- Structured, analytical thinking and a strong understanding of user requirements
