Tasks

• As part of our innovative and international team, you will take responsibility for the realization of innovative AI and GenAI applications in a wide variety of industries.
• This includes the independent design , development , and integration of GenAI-powered, cloud-native applications using Amazon Web Services, microservices based on serverless applications with AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway, container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, Fargate), and DevOps principles / Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation), with which you will transition projects into smooth operation.
• You will design and implement RAG architectures with vector databases (e.g., Amazon OpenSearch Service, Aurora PostgreSQL with pgvector), develop agent - based systems and agent orchestrations with Amazon Bedrock and modern agent frameworks , connect tools and data sources via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) , and securely and cost-effectively integrate Foundation Models into our customers' application landscapes .
• You are responsible for defining requirements with our customers and actively support the creation of proposals.
• You will work within agile projects and continuously develop your skills in close collaboration with our experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• We look forward to your successfully completed university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or a comparable technical field of study with initial professional experience (up to 3 years) as an AI/ML Engineer.
• Excellent knowledge of AWS — AWS and AI certifications (Associate level or higher) are a plus
• Excellent knowledge of common programming and scripting languages ​​(Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java) and experience with several components of the following tech and tool stack : Node.js/NPM, Vue.js, Nuxt.js, Spring, JUnit, Jest, Mocha, Lodash, Git, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, AppSync (GraphQL), Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda, Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, Terraform), as well as SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Timestream).
• Practical experience with Generative AI and LLMs – especially with GenAI architectures and their building blocks such as RAG, agent orchestration and Model Context Protocol (MCP) – AWS AI services (e.g. Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker), agent frameworks (e.g. Strands Agents SDK, LangChain / LangGraph, CrewAI, Vercel AI SDK) and with AI-powered and agent-based software development (e.g. Claude Code, Amazon Q Developer, GitHub Copilot)
• Experience in requirements engineering and in translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Excellent communication skills in German and English , as well as a willingness to travel occasionally, complete your profile.
