Fullstack Data & BI Engineer (m/f/d)
Here's what you'll do with us:
- You will design and develop our modern data and analytics platform based on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
- You are the contact person for specialist departments regarding questions about data, key figures, analyses and reporting.
- You analyze requirements and translate technical questions into sustainable data and BI solutions.
- You develop and operate data-driven end-to-end solutions, from data integration to visualization.
- You model scalable data models for reporting, analysis, and self-service BI use cases.
- You develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines using Python, PySpark and SQL.
- You integrate data from a wide variety of source systems into data lakes and data warehouses.
- You create meaningful dashboards, reports, and data products with Power BI.
- You will work closely with specialist departments, data engineers and other IT teams, driving the further development of our data analytics landscape.
You should bring the following:
- A completed degree in computer science, business informatics, data science or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in the development of data and BI solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and Python.
- Experience with modern cloud data platforms, ideally in the Microsoft Azure environment.
- Solid knowledge in several of the following topics:
- Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse Analytics
- Microsoft Power BI
- SQL, T-SQL and Python
- PySpark / Apache Spark
- Lakehouse and data warehouse architectures
- Data integration, ETL/ELT processes and data orchestration
- Dimensional data modeling
- Git, CI/CD and DevOps for data platforms
- Enjoyment in solving technical and professional challenges together with the specialist departments.
- Analytical thinking skills, initiative and a structured way of working.
- Excellent German skills (at least C1 level) and good English skills.

Glasfaser Nordwest was founded in early 2020 as a joint venture between Telekom Deutschland GmbH and EWE AG. This joint venture, operating on a parity principle, is undertaking the independent expansion of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband in large parts of Northwest Germany. Glasfaser Nordwest is responsible for the rollout decisions, coordination, and network operation. The joint venture aims to connect up to 1.5 million households and business locations with fiber optics and will invest up to two billion euros to achieve this. This new infrastructure will be made available to the entire telecommunications market on a non-discriminatory basis. Initially, partners EWE and Telekom Deutschland will use the Glasfaser Nordwest network; future collaborations with other marketing partners are planned. This opening of the network to other market participants ensures that people in Northwest Germany have greater freedom in choosing their telecommunications provider.
