In the pre-development department for battery-electric and hybrid vehicles at Volkswagen Brand Group Core, we analyze real-world vehicle data using state-of-the-art technologies and scalable data platforms to gain valuable insights for product development. Possible tasks of this role:
Analyzing large vehicle and customer datasets to answer technical and engineering questions;
preparing, structuring, and processing data throughout the entire data analytics process;
developing and applying suitable analysis, machine learning, and AI methods to gain data-driven insights;
optimizing the handling of big data on modern, scalable data platforms;
presenting and communicating analysis results effectively to various stakeholders.
Qualification requirements:
Students (including those taking a gap year) with good to very good academic performance in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, data science, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a comparable field of study;
very good programming skills (Python);
practical experience with common frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow;
sound knowledge of machine learning (especially deep learning) is advantageous.
Experience with Big Data and scalable systems (e.g., Apache Spark) is desirable.
German and English language skills at level B2 are required
. A self-reliant and structured work style, as well as a high degree of motivation and initiative,
