At Mercedes-Benz Cars Development (RD), we shape the automotive generations of the future. This means innovative products of the highest quality and efficient development processes. Within the development of control units for braking systems, we are continuously evolving through the use of artificial intelligence (AI).

To support our team, we are looking for a working student who uses modern AI technologies to analyze, automate and sustainably optimize development processes.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

  • Analysis of existing development processes in the field of brake system development
  • Identifying automation potential through the use of AI technologies
  • Further development and implementation of AI-supported automation solutions
  • Creation of prototypes and proof-of-concepts for new AI use cases
  • Collaboration with developers from the department to integrate new solutions into everyday development work
  • Documentation and presentation of the developed solutions to specialists and managers.

The work can begin from November 2026.

Qualifications
  • Interest in and initial experience with AI technologies, automation and software development
  • First practical experience with Python, JavaScript or similar programming languages
  • Knowledge in the areas of Large Language Models (LLM), Generative AI, Machine Learning or Prompt Engineering is advantageous.
  • Ideally, you have some prior experience with Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, Power Apps, or Visual Studio Code.
  • Analytical and structured approach to work
  • Independence, initiative, and enjoyment in solving technical challenges
  • Good German and English skills
