Your strong profile:

  • Completed studies in computer science or a comparable field
  • Alternatively, a successfully completed vocational training or several years of professional experience in the IT and cloud environment
  • Several years of professional experience in software development and IT operations
  • Programming skills in, for example, Python, Go, Rust, shell scripting
  • Expertise in using and adapting open source software for seamless integration
  • Knowledge of microservice development and deployment, and API design for distributed systems.
  • Experience in setting up and managing monitoring tools (Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus), virtualization solutions (Proxmox, Cloud Hypervisor), container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes and distributed storage (Ceph))
  • Experience in the productive operation and automated deployment of Linux systems using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Nix
  • Strong customer focus through understanding business requirements
  • German language skills at least at B1 level and fluent English skills, both spoken and written.

Your new challenges:

  • Edge Cloud Provisioning: Automation of deployment processes and configuration management with CI/CD pipelines on a multi-cluster control plane.
  • Edge Cloud Monitoring: Implementation and setup of monitoring tools for the health of edge devices and services; monitoring and troubleshooting of systems and applications.
  • Edge Cloud Networking & Security: Implementation, operation and security of complex software-defined network architectures with VLAN, VXLAN, L3 VPNs, policy-based routing, and firewalls.
  • Collaboration and Innovation: Close collaboration with development and operations teams to improve processes and tools; evaluation and implementation of new technologies and best practices in DevOps and Edge Cloud.
