Deutsche Börse's high-performance data feeds and platforms reliably provide banks, traders, asset managers, hedge funds, information providers (vendors), and other market participants worldwide with real-time information such as news, trades, quotes, indices, and real-time key figures. At the same time, they enable direct access to Deutsche Börse AG's trading venues – with the highest quality, minimal latency, and maximum availability.
Our development team at the Eschborn location is looking for reinforcements to better meet the high demands regarding availability and latency and to develop additional content for new cloud business areas.
As a Cloud Solution Engineer / DevOps Engineer, you will be part of a team specializing in real-time data processing and distribution. You will support our low-latency streaming and API solutions across the entire SDLC – from designing technical solutions for new requirements and implementing them to launching and ongoing operations. You will also work with the team on transforming and migrating existing workloads to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Your responsibilities:
- Cloud Architecture & IaC : Design, setup, optimization and maintenance of resilient cloud infrastructures (focus on Google Cloud Platform / GCP) for all applications within the Group Data Services department.
- Cloud Transformation : Analysis and evaluation of existing applications and IT infrastructures regarding their suitability for migration and transformation into a modern public cloud environment.
- Observability & SRE : Monitoring (alerting, logging), performance tuning and troubleshooting of complex issues in cloud workloads (especially in relation to Kubernetes, microservices and cloud infrastructure) as well as cloud cost control (FinOps).
- DevSecOps & Compliance : Responsibility for the continuous adherence to and monitoring of security standards (DevSecOps), best practices and regulatory requirements in accordance with DBAG guidelines.
- Automation : Continuous optimization of our deployment and build pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Artifactory)
- Documentation : Documentation of the cloud and infrastructure architecture in close coordination with the enterprise architecture and information security teams.
Your profile:
- Successfully completed studies in computer science, technical computer science or business informatics.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in the design, development and operation of modern cloud infrastructures and in application integration.
- Solid knowledge of modern Dev(Sec)Ops principles, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes / GKE) and observability stacks (e.g. Prometheus, Google Cloud Monitoring & Logging).
- Proven experience in Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform) and modern CI/CD methods and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, Jenkins, Artifactory).
- Experience in software development or scripting (e.g., Python, Java, Bash) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, quick comprehension and enjoyment in solving complex technical problems in a high-performance environment.
- Good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
