We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions for our Infor Varial Payroll solution . As a key member of our agile engineering team, you will drive technical excellence, support and mentor less experienced developers, and actively contribute to the further development of our Infor Varial Payroll application.

Infor Varial Payroll (https://varial.de) is an established, market-leading solution that combines in-depth expertise in payroll processing, comprehensive HR functionalities, a flexible architecture, and continuous innovation. This enables companies to manage their HR processes efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
Key responsibilities:
- They will play a leading role in the design, development and delivery of our Infor Varial Payroll solution .
- They ensure legally compliant, reliable and continuously updated payroll accounting that meets the complex requirements of German tax, social security and labor law.
- They are contributing to an integrated solution that combines payroll, personnel administration, employee self-service and digital human resources management.
- They work closely with Product Management, UX Design, and Quality Assurance to develop and deliver business-critical features.
- They write clean, efficient and maintainable code according to our Varial Best Practices.
- They actively participate in code reviews, architectural decisions, and the planning of the technical roadmap.
- They drive initiatives to continuously improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our software.
- They monitor current and emerging technologies and assess their potential applications for our solutions.
- They embody Infor's values of speed, innovation, and collaboration in their daily work.
Requirements:
- Experience with the legal and regulatory requirements of German payroll accounting .
- Experience in the development of payroll, HR, or other business-critical enterprise applications.
- Understanding of German payroll processes, including wage and salary accounting, tax regulations, social security requirements and statutory reporting obligations .
- Knowledge of German reporting and electronic communication procedures in the payroll environment, including regulatory data exchange with social security institutions, tax authorities and other public bodies .
- Experience with programming languages and technologies relevant to our technology stack, such as Java, Vaadin, C++ and SQL .
- Solid experience in software development and in the design of business applications.
- Experience with agile development methods and CI/CD practices .
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience with DevOps toolchains and DevOps practices .
- Experience in mentoring, coaching and professional development of software developers .
