AI Application Developer (m/f/d) – Chatbots, RAG & System Integration

This role focuses on developing applications based on LLMs. The emphasis is on operating the chatbot web interface, implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and integrating with internal databases.

YOUR TASKS:

  • Design, operation and further development of a user-friendly web interface for the AI ​​chatbot from a UX perspective.
  • Implementation of mechanisms for data security and compliance (e.g. data protection, access controls)
  • Implementation of RAG solutions to improve the overall performance of the chatbot through the integration of internal data.
  • Design and implementation of data pipelines to unlock internal data sources for the models.
  • Collaborating with other teams to integrate AI solutions into existing business applications
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the chatbot and the RAG functions
  • Creation of documentation for internal users and developers
  • Developing reference architectures and providing advice on internal projects

YOUR PROFILE:

We are looking for a technically skilled and team-oriented individual with a high degree of initiative and strong problem-solving skills, who also meets the following requirements:

  • Successfully completed studies (e.g. Bachelor's degree) in computer science or a comparable qualification, such as IT specialist for system integration, ideally with relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in development with modern Python-based frameworks (e.g., LangChain, FastAPI)
  • Knowledge of data structures and experience in developing modern web applications
  • Knowledge of databases, data warehouse systems and ETL processes
  • Understanding of Retrieval Augmented Generation and its integration into LLMs, as well as Prompt Engineering and Quality Metrics (RAGAS)
  • Ability to design and implement complex data pipelines
  • Ideally, experience with low-code platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud and container technologies as well as Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab)
  • Sensitivity to regulatory requirements (e.g., AI Act) and data protection issues
  • High willingness to learn and interest in new technologies
  • Fluent written and spoken communication skills at B2 level in German and English
