Work location: Zurich region & remote work (part-time from 80% possible)
Swisscard is the leading Swiss credit card company. In our IT department, we work with modern technologies, agile methods, and a clear goal: to create stable, secure, and future-proof data solutions for our company.
We are looking for an experienced and inquisitive individual to further develop our Data Integration Platform and actively shape the future of data management at Swisscard.
You will work on a central data platform based on MS SQL Server and Informatica, support stable data flows, and contribute your expertise to the further development towards the Azure Cloud. Your responsibilities will include working on the existing system as well as the design, implementation, and migration of our future setup.
YOUR TASKS
- You will further develop, operate, and improve our existing Data Integration Platform.
- You support the stable and secure operation of our current data landscape.
- You will contribute your experience to the design of our future data integration setup.
- You will help to gradually migrate existing solutions to modern, cloud-based architectures.
- You analyze professional and technical requirements and translate them into robust data solutions.
- You will work closely with other delivery teams, business units, and the Data Engineering Chapter. You will ensure that our solutions are high-quality, secure, maintainable, and sustainable.
- You actively participate in agile working methods and take responsibility for your topics.
YOUR PROFILE
- You have several years of experience as a Data Engineer and bring in-depth knowledge of complex data environments and the appropriate training.
- You understand the entire data lifecycle and are familiar with the most important concepts, processes, and tools in data management.
- You have experience with ETL processes and corresponding tools.
- You enjoy working with SQL and ideally have experience with MS SQL Server, Informatica, Control-M or similar technologies.
- You have a strong awareness of safety, quality, stability, and clean execution.
- You are comfortable working in an agile environment and are reliable both independently and as part of a team.
- You enjoy understanding and operating existing systems while also helping to shape new solutions.
- You have experience with Big Data, Data Engineering Toolsets or scripting languages.
- Ideally, you have experience with Azure DevOps, Terraform, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Spark, PowerShell or Python.
