Working in an interdisciplinary AI team in the area of ​​data management and IT operations, as well as contributing to the development of processes, standards, and procedures for the secure, robust, and productive use of modern AI at parcIT. You will
have technical responsibility for selected AI and LLM initiatives: from requirements analysis through conception, architecture, and development to integration, productive deployment, operational readiness, and further development of AI applications and services.
You will develop and integrate modern AI applications, especially LLM- and RAG-based solutions with models, data sources, interfaces, and data pipelines.
You will contribute to building an enterprise AI platform for AI and LLM-based applications, including interfaces, authorization concepts, model integration, evaluation, monitoring, and operational concepts.
You will identify, analyze, and prioritize suitable AI use cases and design appropriate solutions in the regulated enterprise environment, considering benefits, feasibility, data availability, data protection, and information security.
Advising colleagues and internal stakeholders on the sensible and responsible use of AI, as well as coordinating with architecture, operations, information security, governance, and external partners.

A completed degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, natural sciences, data science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification.
Ideally, at least two years of practical experience in AI engineering or several years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, IT architecture in comparable enterprise IT contexts, as well as experience with AI-, ML-, or LLM-based solutions in a corporate environment.
Essential practical experience with LLM- or RAG-based applications and in the interplay of models, data sources, interfaces and data pipelines, evaluation and operation.
Strong knowledge of modern programming languages ​​and frameworks (e.g., Python, Java, TypeScript, LangChain, LlamaIndex, PyTorch, Hugging Face) as well as confident handling of common software engineering principles and containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, cloud or on-premises platforms).
Understanding of secure, robust and operable enterprise architectures, ideally including identity and access management, authorization concepts, monitoring, interfaces, quality assurance and governance requirements.
Strong problem-solving skills, quality awareness, a drive to shape things, a sense of responsibility and a cooperative team spirit, as well as very good German language skills, at least C1 level, in both spoken and written form.
