For our Data, Security and Identity business unit within the Data Management and Governance (DSIDMG) Tribe, we are looking for a Software Engineer for the Data Integration Hub (m/f/d) in Karlsruhe or Münster, either full-time or part-time (minimum 30 hours per week). Your role will be within the Data Integration Hub squad, where you will collaborate with 9 colleagues across different locations.

Your tasks with perspectives

  • You will be working on our Data Integration Hub (the central data platform of the company and the cooperative financial group ) .
  • You will further develop our data mesh platform DIH together in an agile team.
  • The focus here is on the development of backend services and the integration of third-party applications into the system, as well as on data quality.
  • You are part of a highly motivated and agile team and will take on development activities ranging from requirements analysis to conception, development and test automation, as well as maintenance and support for our data platform.
  • You work in a cross-functional work environment/team and enjoy contributing to the design of software architectures and the selection of technologies.

Your personality with profile

  • You have a completed degree in computer science and several years of relevant professional experience (2 to 6 years) or comparable qualification.
  • You have very good knowledge of software development, especially in the Java environment with SpringBoot and SQL, and possibly some initial experience with Rust.
  • You are familiar with microservices and API design in container environments (Kubernetes/Openshift).
  • You are familiar with modern cloud technologies such as Kafka and S3 and ideally have already gained experience with Deltalake and Spark as well as query engine Trino.
  • You are familiar with the use of agile tools such as GIT, CI/CD pipelines, test automation tools, Jira and Confluence.
  • You have fluent German skills (at least C1 level) and good English skills (B2 level).
  • Your profile is rounded off by an independent, self-reliant and team-oriented work style.

Salary range and career level:
The annual salary for this position, based on a 38-hour week, ranges from €70,000 to €102,000, depending on relevant experience and qualifications. It fits into our career model as follows:
