Student Assistant in Production Quality with a focus on Data Science

Shape the data-driven future of quality and production with us at the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter plant in Düsseldorf. You will support the further development of cliQ, our Power BI solution for quality and production KPIs. Together, we will develop modern analyses and visualizations that create transparency, accelerate decision-making, and drive digitalization in the production environment.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

• Support in the further development and maintenance of the Power BI solution cliQ for quality and production key performance indicators.

• Analysis, processing and visualization of quality data from different data sources

• Creation of KPI evaluations, trend analyses and management reports

• Development of new data-based analysis, control and visualization solutions

• Collaboration in data modeling as well as in the integration and linking of various data sources

• Plausibility checks, cleansing and structuring of data sets

• Automation of reporting and analysis processes, for example with Microsoft Power Automate

• Participation in digitization and data projects in the production and quality environment

• Support for workshops to gather user requirements and derive suitable data solutions

• Creation of documentation, presentations and decision-making templates

• Further development of tools for error, trend and root cause analysis

• Collaboration on innovative topics such as AI-supported analyses, automation and modern BI solutions.

The work can begin from December 2026.

• Studies in the field of business informatics, computer science, data science or a comparable course of study

• Good German and English skills

• Planned enrollment for at least another twelve months

• First practical experience in business intelligence, reporting, or data analytics

• Confident use of Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Excel

• Experience with relational databases and SQL

• Basic knowledge of data modeling and data preparation

• Ideally, knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate, Python, or comparable analysis tools.

• First experience handling large amounts of data

• Interest in production, quality and digitalization processes

• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills

• Independent and structured work style

• Strong analytical thinking skills

• High level of initiative and willingness to learn

• Strong communication skills in exchanges with specialist departments and IT

• Teamwork skills and reliability

• Enjoyment in solving complex problems using data.
