Sonepar Deutschland Information Services GmbH is immediately seeking a dedicated and qualified individual for its Holzwickede location , on a permanent basis and either full-time or part-time.

Cybersecurity Engineer (m/f/d).

The tasks:

• Independent analysis, evaluation and follow-up of weaknesses as well as proactive coordination with the responsible departments until the sustainable implementation of measures.
• Planning and coordination of external penetration tests, as well as evaluation, prioritization, and consistent follow-up of identified findings.
• Analysis and handling of security incidents, as well as management and implementation of suitable measures for containment, remediation and sustainable risk reduction.
• Advising specialist departments on projects and day-to-day business to ensure the secure implementation of technical requirements within the framework of existing cybersecurity regulations.
• Operational support for the secure configuration, hardening, and patching of Windows and Linux systems.
• Close collaboration with international colleagues on security projects, standards, processes and strategic roadmaps.
• Introduction and further development of DevSecOps approaches, including SAST, DAST, SCA, and their integration into existing CI/CD pipelines.
• Implementation, further development and establishment of technical hardening standards and security baselines
• Identification of potential improvements as well as independent initiation and implementation of security measures
• Responsibility for issues from analysis to successful implementation, instead of mere coordination or escalation.

The requirements:

• Completed studies in computer science or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in the field of cybersecurity / IT security
• A sound understanding of vulnerability management, CVEs, and security risks.
• Experience in the installation, configuration and operation of servers and technical services
• Good knowledge of Linux system administration (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu, or SUSE)
• Understanding of Security by Design, Shift Left, and modern DevSecOps concepts
• Knowledge in the areas of hardening, security baselines, and secure configuration
• Good knowledge of cloud security as well as the analysis and handling of security incidents.
• Experience with CI/CD concepts, automation and security automation
